HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

mother |ˈmʌðə|noun 1 a woman in relation to a child or children to whom she has given birth: She loved being a mother.

Wishing a very Happy Mother's Day to each and every mother out there – especially to my very own, Veronica Guerra. Te amo mamá!

I hope you are all celebrating with your families, children, flowers, and some extra pampering today. You deserve it!

I always enjoy going to church with my family on Mother’s Day. I learned how important faith is when raising children from the great faith my mom displayed when I was growing up. She was a single mother, raising our family while going to school for her master's degree, all while working full-time. Though she was stretched thin, she never gave part-time effort to any of her responsibilities. I was always amazed at how much she could do.

"Start your children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6

Though a lot of the "work" we do as moms can seem insignificant or draining at times, we have to remember that every moment we spend with our kids is shaping their character and future. We get to help create a legacy every single day. I only hope to be a fraction the selfless, caring, and nurturing mom I was so blessed to have.

"From everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children…" Psalm 103:17

I’m reminded that being a mother is truly a gift–one I don’t take for granted and a responsibility I don’t take lightly. My thoughts and prayers are with the women today who have been struggling with fertility issues. Today, there are many women who are experiencing loss, grief, and disappointment from unmet hopes and dreams. Life is truly a gift–and I am celebrating all women today, no matter what season you find yourself in.

Have a beautiful and blessed Mother’s Day!

XO-
