Becoming Fearless

fearless |ˈfɪəlɪs| adjective: showing a lack of fear: She was fearless.

Over the years, I’ve met so many incredible women with a passion for life and a drive to pursue a purpose that will change our world for the better. But it makes me sad when I see those same strong women allowing their fears to get the best of them––getting stuck in a place where they feel crippled and unable to move forward.

Stories of passion and purpose can be quickly choked out when fear takes over.

Fear gets the best of all of us at times. But as women of faith and divine purpose, we need to learn what to do when we come face to face with fear so that we can overcome it, in Jesus' Name!

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7

God didn't intend for us to be fearful when He created us. He created us to trust Him, and His plan for our lives. In Jeremiah 29:11 God says, "For I know the plans I have for you. They are plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

If we really believe what the Bible says, then we have no reason to fear the challenges and trials that will inevitably come our way. God promises to take care of all of our needs. Not just some–ALL!

"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today." Matthew 6:33-34

God cares about every detail of your life. His timing is perfect. I know this to be true in my own life–through the timing of meeting my husband, having children, and God's provision in business and in everyday miracles. God is faithful and we can trust His perfect timing.

"For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9

When we have a problem with fear, we really have a problem with trust. Our fears will reveal the places in our hearts where we do not trust God.

Do you have a fear of the future? Do you fear the unknown? Do you have a fear of failure or a deep fear of being rejected? Give your fears to God today, and choose to trust in Him because of His great love for you.

God has such an incredible calling on your life! Don't allow your fears to get the best of you or your future. Your future belongs to God. Claim His peace, His purpose, and His provision over your life today and say, "NO" to fear, forever!

Live fearlessly today–it looks beautiful on you!

XO-
