Grow Together
grow |grəʊ| verb 1 (of a living thing) undergo natural development by increasing in size and changing physically: She watered her flowers each day so they would grow.
Each month when we meet for Equipped by Faith, I’m reminded of how important it is to meet together with other believers. I always leave encouraged and inspired by each of you–from watching how you worship, from hearing your personal stories and hearing that your prayers are being answered. God uses our relationships to grow our faith!
That’s why I want to make sure each of you are getting plugged in to a monthly Equip Group. These groups are designed to be smaller, more intimate places of Bible study, discipleship, prayer, encouragement, and inspiration–located right down the street in your own community! (Take a peek at our monthly locations here!)
I believe in strong relationships. I believe in Godly sisterhood and the power of unity. I also believe that our relationships are the first place the enemy attacks us to create division and strife in the body of Christ...
"A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back to back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken." Ecclesiastes 4:12
In order for us to grow in our relationship with Christ, we have to grow in our relationships with other people. True spiritual maturity is all about learning to love like Jesus loves, and there is no way we can practice being like Jesus without being in healthy relationship with other people.
"Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples." John 13:3
Jesus said that the world would know Him because of OUR love toward one another! Our relationships are a direct representation to the world of Christ's character. This is what the church is meant to be as salt and light to a dark world!
I want to encourage you to attend one of our Equip Groups this week. Our team has been working on a discipleship program that will help you to learn how to pray, read and understand the Bible, and grow in your relationship with God and others.
One of my favorite things about Equipped by Faith is that this is a place where real women can get together to talk about real life issues without having to worry about feeling judged or condemned. We cry together, we laugh together, and we pray together about the good, the bad, and the uncertain. We find truth in His Word and we are encouraged by other women of faith. That’s what God-given relationships are for!
There is such beauty and blessing in real, authentic relationships–and I hope you can find the community you’ve been looking for at Equipped by Faith.
