EBF 2019 Summer Lake House Retreat
retreat |rəˈtrēt| verb [no object] (of an army) withdraw from enemy forces as a result of their superior power or after a defeat: Retreat, relax, restore.
There are no words to express how amazing our first-ever EBF Summer Lake House Retreat was last weekend! God moved powerfully through the worship and Judy Brooks shared an encouraging testimony. Many girls walked away delivered from unforgiveness, set free from bondage, healed emotionally and physically—and several of our girls even got baptized in the pool for the very first time!
Judy spoke about the power that unforgiveness and fear have over us. She reminded us that the battle we fight is in our minds and encouraged us to stand on the truth of God’s Words. This is why we send out Bible Reading Plans each week—because we know the power God’s truth has in our lives!
We worshipped, took communion together, and Judy spent time ministering to many women individually—including members of our EBF core team. I know God moved in some incredible ways that day and I’m so grateful for the heart God gave Judy for His daughters!
We had so much fun that afternoon playing sand volleyball, taking boat and jet ski rides, and laying out by the pool. Thank you to all of the EBF volunteers who made this event happen, to Gabe with House of Biel for the incredibly creative balloon displays, and to Priscilla Trevino at Perfectly Timed Events for planning every last detail perfectly—including the thoughtful entryway gift bags to the fantastic raffle ticket prizes.
Thank you, again, for coming to our first ever EBF Summer Lake House Retreat. All of the photos from the event can be found on our Equipped by Faith Facebook page. Tag yourself, your friends, and us with the hashtag #EBFRETREAT.
We can’t wait to see you all again on Wednesday, August 7th for our next EBF gathering with Cheryl “Action” Jackson—a powerful keynote speaker, author, and the Founder of Minnie’s Food Pantry! Save the date and plan to bring a friend!
XO-
