YOUR WORDS EITHER CUT OR HEAL: Guest Blog from Judy Brooks
My child, your words have the power to heal or they can cut like the piercing of a sword.
Those who speak sarcastically with belittling words may appear on the exterior to be fine, but on the inside, they are bruised and bleeding. If they do not receive healing from the invisible pain they suffer, it will show up in another form such as addiction, sickness, disease, or even worse.
In the Greek, the word "sarcasm" means to tear the flesh like a dog eating a piece of raw meat. Cynical words cut like a sword (Proverbs 12:18)!
People who are cynical can cut you into pieces with their tongue. Their words will tear their victims to shreds, not only wounding the flesh but especially your spirit! If you have been injured by words, you must recognize you need healing, and the only One who can heal your spirit is your Lord and Maker (Psalms 34:18).
I am Jehovah Rapha, your healer. Come running to Me, and I will restore your spirit and your soul (Psalms 143:3). You must remember that by your words you are justified or by your words you will be condemned (Matthew 12:37). Your words are so powerful they carry with them life or death, and blessing or cursing (Proverbs 18:21).
If you understood the incredible power of your words, you would prefer to be silent to talking. When you speak something out, good or bad, you give life to it. You are prophesying the future.
So, set a guard over your mouth. Keep watch over the door of your lips (Psalms 141:3).
"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24 NIV
The tongue of the wise promotes healing and health. Your words can cut or they can mend; they can wound or they can heal. Your words can tear down or build up. The choice is yours.
Luke shared Jesus' example before others: Everyone spoke well of him and was amazed by the gracious words that came from his lips (Luke 4:22). I am your role model. Follow Me!
Watch your thoughts - they become your words.
Watch your words - they become your actions.
Watch your actions - they become your habits.
Watch your habits - they become your character.
Watch your character - it becomes your destiny.

My Prayer for you today and every day:
May your day be blessed with great favor! I ask God to give you Great Favor and Great Peace, may you know and experience His presence today! The Holy Spirit is with you, He lives in you, goes before you, and He is your rear-guard! May He be your guide, protector, and give you clear direction today as He orders your steps and stops. I ask God to bring Divine Spiritual Order to your body and your mind as you discipline yourself to speak the Word only. May He guard your heart, for out of it flows a well-spring of life. May He protect you, your Marriage, your family, your home, your relationships, your finances, your business, on your job, in your ministry, and in your church in Jesus' Mighty Matchless Name. Amen.
