1. How are you pursuing your God-given purpose and destiny? And what is one thing you would say to encourage someone who is trying to pursue their God-given purpose today?
I thank God and believe that he has given me the tools to change the way people perceive themselves. I also believe that a specific calling of mine is to reach out to young women by highlighting their true beauty in a way they've never known before.
It sounds cliche, but one thing I would say to encourage someone trying to pursue their God-given purpose today is to dig deep within yourself and figure out what you love to do that gives you life. I believe your purpose can be anything from career to relationships. I believe you can have many purposes. Anything can feel like work, but it's that initial love that sustains you and motivates you to keep fulfilling your purpose: something you can't give up on.
2. What motivates or inspires you?
I used to be inspired by fashion and magazines, but I would say now, it's more about the people I meet and work with and the relationships I build. Now I'm inspired by the personality and beauty of my subject and it motivates me to create the best possible experience for them. I aim to create life-changing experiences.
3. What books or podcasts are you currently reading or listening to that are helping you to continue growing and learning?
Oh man, I'm a huge bookworm, that's a hard question. I'm not currently reading this now, but I would say the book that has impacted me most when it comes to my career is Mastery by Robert Green. I believe everyone should read it, no matter what you're pursuing in life. Religious books, I am currently reading like 10 at a time haha.
4. Tell us more about your photography business and how you are using this to make an impact in Market Place Ministry.
I believe that what I do is my ministry, and I love that one of my closest colleagues feels the same way about what they do, especially when we work together. I may not always get to talk about God with my clients, but I love that what I do shows them that, ironically, it's not all about what's on the outside. It's about what's inside that matters, and it is my job to bring that to the forefront... the true beauty... which is what God has told us all along: that we're beautiful even when we fail to see it.
5. What do you love about Equipped by Faith?
What I love about Equipped by Faith is that it brings all kinds of women together—but not only that—it equips and sharpens us as Godly women. And every time I come to an EBF meeting, it's supernatural. The Holy Spirit is always so strong and directly speaks to me every time. It may be something I've been dealing with that week or even that day, and it never fails that word for word, I know my prayers are being heard and answered. I'm so looking forward to being more involved with EBF and helping it grow.
Be sure to follow her journey at @nicollettemollet and www.nicollettemollet.com!
