1. How are you pursuing your God-given purpose and destiny? And what is one thing you would say to encourage someone trying to pursue their God-given purpose today?

I believe that God has placed a purpose and destiny inside of all of us—uniquely, individually, and instinctively. If you listen to your heart—because out of your heart flow the issues of life—and follow those instincts, I believe it will put you on a path to where you are best suited for your calling, the most creative, and the most functional in life. Best of all—this is the place you get to experience His love.

What I would say to encourage someone pursuing their own purpose is to always show your love through your actions! Even when it’s hard, or when you don’t feel like it, remember that God will always honor and bless what He sees as good and pleasing to Him! Then your purpose and destiny will for sure be fulfilled!

2. What motivates or inspires you?

My daughter, Bella. As a mother, I know I have to live my life as a walking example for my daughter. Everything I do, she emulates. Everything I say, she repeats. Everyone I bring into my life is a direct influence on her. I just want to be the best example for her that I can be. She’s 12 years old now, and it can be challenging at times because she is just like me. But honestly, being her mother is my favorite thing. It’s almost as if I have another chance to do life again with her—and I love that more than anything.

3. What books and podcasts are you currently reading and listening to that are helping you to continue growing and learning?

This year, because of what we are doing in Equipped by Faith through the weekly Bible Reading Plan, I’ve challenged myself to read through the whole Bible chronologically. My daughter and I listen to the daily Chronological Bible reading together each morning as we get ready and it always opens up new questions and conversations between us that we wouldn’t have otherwise. I’m also reading Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver.

4. Tell us more about your business and how you are using it to make an impact in Market Place Ministry.

I’m an Executive Assistant at MINT dentistry. Being part of a Kingdom-minded company like this is really incredible because I get to spend my days interacting with staff members and the executive team, watching how they lead this organization in a God-fearing way. I work closely with Sabrina Harrison, the founder of Equipped by Faith and Co-Owner of MINT, and we have an alarm that rings at noon each day that reminds us to stop and pray about whatever we’re talking about and whoever we’re with. Even just in serving, I’ve learned to be willing to serve in any facet possible. In this job, I’m doing something different every day—whether that be decorating a new office or praying with one of the staff members. Not everyone gets to work for a company like this, and I see it as such a blessing in my life.

5. What do you love about Equipped by Faith?

I love the opportunity to grow relationships with individuals I may not have encountered otherwise and being able to commune with other women and believers who are strong in their faith! I love the sense of family that we experience through Equipped by Faith, making wherever we gather a place of worship and honoring God by creating a comfortable place for individuals outside the four walls of what we know traditionally as “church."
